Older homes here often hide the same story: solid bones, tired systems. We renovate around what's structurally sound and replace what isn't, instead of assuming either.

Weston, Mount Dennis, and Oakwood Village all carry that same older housing character, with semis and bungalows that have generally held up structurally even where the systems inside haven't. Kitchen, bathroom, and basement work make up most of what we're asked to do here.

That combination, sound structure paired with dated everything else, tends to make York a more predictable renovation than a similarly old home elsewhere in the city, since the bones rarely need the kind of structural work an older downtown-core home sometimes does.
